The best period of the year to carry out the survey is during the crawfish closed season (April-July) when all commercial boats are supposed to be at port. Due to its effect on secondary roads connecting to small fishing sites, rain is a factor that could be taken in consideration to choose the most convenient period.
The survey as planned will have a total duration of 34 weeks (including preparation of the final report), of which of 4 weeks have been allocated to field operations (Appendix 4).
