STATUS OF THE PROPOSED DRAFT REVISED CODE OF PRACTICE FOR THE PROCESSING AND HANDLING OF QUICK FROZEN FOODS

14. The IIR Group of experts recommends the adoption of the Proposed Draft Code of Practice attached as Appendix III, by the Codex Alimentarius Commission at Step 5 of the Uniform Procedure (see Procedural Manual of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, 11th edition, FAO, 2000). The IIR group of experts considers that since the structure of the Code and the main parts were largely accepted the Draft Code should be assigned to the Codex Committee on Processed Foods and Vegetables for further elaboration and to other Committees for endorsement of the relevant provisions.
