I. ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE CONFERENCE

  1. Having heard a statement on the detailed arrangements made by the Director-General for the Session of the Conference along the lines of the recommendations contained in the Council's memorandum annexed to the Provisional Agenda (C48/1), the Council has taken note of these arrangements which call for no particular comments. The Council has also taken note of the list of non-member Governments and Public International Organisations provisionally invited by the Director-General to attend the Session in the capacity of observers.

  2. Nominations Committee

    In conformity with Rule XXVI (e) (vii) it is the function of the Council “to propose to the Conference nominations for the delegates who are to be members of the Nominations Committee of the Conference”. Under Rule VII, this Nominations Committee is to consist of eleven delegates.

The Council accordingly suggests that this Committee be composed of the following delegates:-
