VII. SITE OF THE FAR EASTERN REGIONAL OFFICE

In accordance with the recommendation of the Fourth Session of the Conference, the Council has reviewed the question of the site of the Far Eastern Regional Office, and forwards to the Conference, with certain minor changes, a note on this subject prepared by the Director-General (C49/26).

While accepting the principle proposed by the Baguio meeting of February-March 1948 that the Far Eastern Regional Office should rotate from country to country, the Council approves the recommendation of the Director General that this Office should continue at Bangkok until the end of 1951. The Council session preceding the 1951 Conference would afford a convenient opportunity for considering this question again.
