The Council noted that in the report of its Thirty-Fourth Session 2 the Programme Committee had regretted the discontinuation of the annual Per Caput Fibre Consumption Survey and of the publication of the relevant report because it considered that FAO was particularly well qualified to collect and disseminate information in this area. The Council encouraged the Director-General in his efforts to arrange for resumption of the survey and the publication of the report in whatever way possible.
220. The Council decided that its Seventy-Fifth Session should be convened in Rome from 11 to 22 June 1979.
