1. The Ninety-third Session of the Council was held in Rome on 27 November 1987, under the Chairmanship of Mr Lassaad Ben Osman, lndependent Chairman of the Council.
2. The Agenda of the Session was adopted as presented, and l given it! Appendix A to this Report.
3. The Council elected three Vice-Chairmen for its session: I. Díaz Yubero (Spain), A.M. Khaleeli (India) and Sra. M. Fermín-Gómez (Venezuela).
4. The Council noted that Paul Savary, Secretary-General of the conference and Council and Assistant Director-General, a.i., Department of General Affairs and Information, would be retiring from the Organization in December 1987 after more than thirty years of service. In paying tribute to him, the Council recorded its deep appreciation for his efficiency, competence and dedication, and wished him much success and happiness in his retirement and in all future endeavours.
