CHAIRMAN: The Secretariat informs the Chair that we have a quorum, and we shall now proceed. As part of our procedure, the Chair requests Mr Sucre, Vice-Chairman, to please identify himself as soon as possible so that at some point I can turn over the proceedings to my Vice-Chairman. I have been looking for him several days now but have been unable to locate him here in Rome. If Mr Sucre would please identify himself I shall assign him certain presiding duties. As soon as he possibly can, will he please come forward and I will list the items and the remaining procedures over which I will ask him to preside. It is Friday evening and I have tried to reach him since Monday morning.
We will have a session tomorrow morning over which he will preside if he is available. Otherwise, we will proceed for a while this evening and reconvene on Monday morning. To introduce the agenda, we have the Assistant Director-General for the Forestry Department.
