5. In accordance with the rules of procedure and methods of work adopted by the Board in 1996, the Executive Board elected a Bureau of five members, chosen from among the representatives of the Board, one from each WFP electoral list A to E: El Salvador, list C, as President; the United States of America, list D, as Vice-President; and the representatives of Ethiopia, list A, Bangladesh, list B, and Slovakia, list E.
