BUDGET ESTIMATES FOR THE ROTTERDAM CONVENTION
In C99/14 the funds required for the year 2000 are given as US$ 2,320,000 as a combined estimate for FAO and UNEP. It was anticipated that FAO and UNEP would each cover some 140,000 US$. These estimates do not cover premises, etc., which are provided in FAO Headquarters and UNEP Chemicals in Geneva, or in-kind contributions such as legal advice.
For 2000 the Secretariat estimates that the following funds will be available:
