    This document presents the report of the twenty-first session of the Asia and Pacific Commission on Agricultural Statistics (APCAS) held in Phuket, Thailand from 11 to 15 September 2006. Attended by some 60 delegates from 20 member countries, the session assessed both the current status of food and agriculture statistics in member countries and progress on strengthening regional data exchange on food and agricultural statistics in the region. The meeting reported on CountrySTAT – a new web-base d system that integrates national food and agricultural statistical information to ensure harmonization of national data and metadata collections – which had been installed in the Philippines. CountrySTAT also serves as a source of country-level data for FAOSTAT, improving its capacity to provide high quality statistical data at the international level. The meeting also reported on FAO's World Programme for the Census of Agriculture 2010. New features include the role of the census in helping mo nitor Millennium Development Goals and an option to widen the scope of the census to cover aquaculture and other rural activities, among others. Recommendations of the session are included in the report.

    This document contains the report of the twenty-fifth session of the Coordinating Working Party on Fishery Statistics (CWP) held in Rome, Italy, from 23 to 26 February 2016. The two subject Groups on Fisheries and Aquaculture had their own meetings to review the progress made and develop work plan for the next intersessional period prior to the main session. The main session received the report from the two Groups and approved the work plans presented. Other main topics discussed were the revisi on of Standards and Classifications, the dissemination and future updates of the CWP handbook, the establishment of two CWP Task Groups, one for reviewing the International Standard Statistical Classification of Aquatic Animals and Plants (ISCAAP) groupings and the other for Reference harmonization for capture fisheries and aquaculture statistics (SDMX DSDs) and the improvement in visibility of CWP.

    This document presents the report of the Nineteenth Session of the Asia and Pacific Commission on Agricultural Statistics held in Seoul, Republic of Korea from 21 to 25 October 2002. The session was attended by 60 delegates and observers from 20 member countries and four UN and international organizations. The conference assessed the current status of food and agricultural statistical development in the member countries and discussed new developments in agricultural statistics including millenni um development goals, image scanning technology for processing of agricultural survey and census data, impact/consequences of irregular censuses, and preparations for the World Census of Agriculture 2010 and indicators for agricultural policy analysis. A report on the Japan/FAO projects to improve agricultural statistics in Asia and Pacific countries and strengthen regional data exchange was also discussed, besides fishery and forestry statistics. Recommendations and follow-up actions are includ ed in the session report.
