Description
Approved the purchase of 200 000 tonnes of paddy from the 2015 Maha harvest. The procurement drive is to be undertaken by registered farmer organizations and District Secretaries and will offer Rupees 50 per kilo for Samba paddy (USD 367 per tonne) purchased and Rupees 45 per kilo (USD 330 per tonne) in the case of Nadu paddy.
