Description
Began to phase-out import duties on Thai rice, with the entry into force of the Chile-Thailand Free Trade Agreement. Under the accord, Chile is to eliminate a 6 percent duty on semi/wholly milled and broken rice progressively over a five-year period, and a 6 percent tariff on paddy and husked rice over an eight-year span.
