Description
Notified the World Trade Organization that it intended to suspend trade concessions and impose additional import duties on a range of goods originating in the United States, including rice, in response to US tariff increases on steel and aluminium products. A Regulation issued on 20 June 2018 set the customs duty on US semi/wholly milled and fully broken rice at 25 percent, effective from 22 June 2018, and for as long as the United States applied the higher import tariff on EU steel and aluminium products.
