Description
Approved the cultivation of a GM soybean variety resistant to herbicides containing glyphosate, glufosate and isoxaflutole.
Notes
Cultivation of a new GM soybean variety resistant to herbicides containing glyphosate, glufosate and isoxaflutole (‘MTS-FG072’ owned by Bayer SA) has been approved in Argentina. The approval comes on the heels of a long-awaited agreement sealed last February between the Government and private seed companies regarding royalty payments, which paved the way for new seed varieties to reach Argentina’s farmers (see MPPU Mar.’18).
