Description
Set aside COP 30 billion (USD 9.6 million) to implement a storage incentive programme for 2018 second semester crops. The scheme will cover the equivalent of up to 272 000 tonnes of dry paddy, from 31 August 2018 to 30 December 2018, extending an outlay of COP 28 890 (USD 9.2) to cover the monthly cost of storing a tonne of dry paddy, husked or milled rice for up to three months. To qualify for the incentive, buyers must purchase supplies at reference prices ranging from COP 117 000 to 144 800 per 125 kg of wet paddy (USD 300 to 371 per tonne), depending on the various producing zones.
