Description
Indonesia explored possibilities to collaborate in the development of Nigeria’\'s palm oil industry. Furthermore, Indonesia encouraged Nigeria to join the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries, a body set up by Indonesia and Malaysia to promote price stabilization and sustainable palm oil production.

In line with on-going efforts to promote economic cooperation and bilateral trade between Nigeria and Indonesia, government representative from both sides agreed to collaborate in the development of Nigeria’s palm oil industry. Nigeria was also invited to join the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC). The Council was established recently by Indonesia and Malaysia, in a bid to promote price stabilization and sustainable palm oil production.
