Description
Announced that in an effort to reduce an estimated 4.4 million tonnes of excess domestic supply, it would aim to put 290 000 hectares of paddies to cultivation of other crops in two years, including 112 000 hectares just to sugar. An additional 64 000 hectares of offseason paddies would also be cut.
