Description
Approved a budget of THB 60 billion (USD 1.7 billion) to assist one million drought-hit farmers. The funds will be disbursed through the Bank of Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) as short-term credit for emergency and drought rehabilitation needs and as longer term credit facility to aid farmers raise productivity levels. The terms of repayment of existing loans from the BAAC is to also be extended for up to 12 months.
