Description
Approved a budget of THB 476 million (USD 13 million) to extend subsidised insurance against natural disasters and diseases to rice farmers during the 2015/16 main season crop. Up to 240 000 hectares of paddies are expected to be covered by the programme, up from 130 000 hectares the previous year, with the extension expected to double by 2016.
