Description
Oversaw the signing of a memorandum of understanding between sector representatives under which importers committed to purchase 50 000 tonnes of rice from the 2016 season harvest and 1 500 tonnes currently stored by millers. Under the accord, importers would pay XOF 240 000245 000 (USD 405414) per tonne of 100% broken rice and XOF 275 000280 000 (USD 465473) per tonne of whole-grains.
