Description
Announced that MYR 1.3 billion (USD 291 million) would be allocated to continue subsidies on fertilizers, seeds and prices for rice producers, as part of its 2017 budgetary allocations. A similar amount would additionally go to boost food production through infrastructural improvements, such as the expansion of irrigation and drainage infrastructure, farm roads, paddy estates, and to enhance marketing of produce.
