Description
New Food Security Bill submitted to the parliament. It will create legal entitlement to subsidized food grains for 63.5 percent of the population, with an annual cost of about INR 1 trillion (USD 20 billion). Additional USD 70 million will be allocated to boost agricultural production and to improve storage and transportation infrastructure.
