Description
Outlined a series of economic reforms, including steps geared towards reducing export costs and enhancing the competitiveness of Cambodian goods abroad. Among others, such measures comprised a late January decision to halve container-scanning fees to USD 16 for 40-foot containers, and to USD 10 for smaller ones as of 1 April 2019, cuts to electricity charges levied on the industrial sector, as well as institutional reforms reducing customs clearance costs and port service fees.
