Description
Removed the Rupees 20 per kilo (USD 153 per tonne) duty levied on rice, together with other applicable charges, including the Port and Airport Development Levy, Value Added Taxes and the Nation Building Tax. A lower rate of Rupees 5 per kilo (USD 38 per tonne) will instead apply for imported paddy, husked, semi/wholly milled and/or broken rice, effective 10 April 2014.
