Description
The Codex Alimentarius Commission adopted official maximum residue limit (MRL) on the feed additive ractopamine, a big win for trade interests of the US, Brazil and Canada. However, some countries, such as China and EU, have zero tolerance policies for ractopamine residues in meat products, and Taiwan recently adopted a MRL allowed.
