Description
Exempted rice, along with eleven other foodstuffs, from value added taxes and administrative levies. The measure, which is to be effective from 15 May 2012 until 31 December 2012, additionally suspended the 75 percent rice import duty, applicable under the Common External Tariff of the East African Community.
