Export ban
Description
Relaxed the ban on milled rice exports. Effective until August 2015, traders will be permitted to ship supplies abroad provided that, for every tonne they intend to export, they deliver 1 tonne of rice to the General Authority for Supply Commodities at Pounds 2 000 per tonne (USD 279). Exports will be additionally subject to USD 280 per tonne tax.
