Description
In an effort to promote greater vertical integration, issued directives that make it requisite for exporters to progressively engage in contract farming, invest in large-scale farms or develop alternate production areas of their own in order to secure rice export permits, effective 1 March 2015. The size of production areas to be developed/invested on will be based upon exporters trade record in 2011-2013 and will be raised progressively through 2020.
