Prof. Alcides Lopes Leao

Holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Sao Paulo State University - UNESP (1981), master's degree in Agronomy (Energy in Agriculture) from UNESP (1987) and Ph.D. in Forestry - University of Wisconsin - Madison (1993), Post doctorate in 1995 at USDA-FPL (Forest Projects Laboratory) University of Wisconsin - Madison. Currently a consultant with SEBRAE - Support Service for Micro and Small Enterprises in the areas of Environment, Waste and Natural Fibres. He is Full Professor at UNESP since 1985. He is the coordinator of the RESIDUALL - Laboratory of Solid Waste and Composites, with multiple devices on a pilot scale aiming the production of composite materials. He was appointed by the Brazilian government as a member of the Consultative Committee of the Common Fund for Commodities, based in Amsterdam, an organization linked to the United Nations as a funding body for projects of commodities.

Dilip Tambyrajah

Dilip Tambyrajah is the Managing Director of Zylyon International B.V., based in The Netherlands. Zylyon develops, manufactures and markets natural fibers and other products such as Ceylon Tea. Dilip was born in Sri Lanka, lives and works in The Netherlands since 1977. He studied Environmental Engineering at the University of South Bank, London and holds a Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the British business school Henley Management College/Brunel University, U.K. In addition studied Marketing Management at the Institute of Social Sciences, Leiden, The Netherlands.

Markku Vilkki

Mr Markku Vilkki (M.Sc.Eng), CEO and partner of Conenor Ltd, is noticed as a pioneer in developing the European natural fibre-plastic composites’ construction industry market, a frequent speaker in global industry conferences and an experienced consultant for companies and international projects for new business with extruded NFCs and in need for studying the feasibility and help in waste materials assessment, product development, process design and choice of production equipment and eventual start-ups.
