Activities implemented:

- Distributed livestock packages consisting of 1 204.02 tonnes of animal compound feed and 10 035 packets (ten tablets in each packet) of de-wormer to 10 035 households.
- Provided training to 9 543 households in improved crop production techniques, post-production processing and livestock management.
- Conducted a detailed livelihood assessment of 9 000 households in 140 villages to measure recovery from floods, impact of interventions and unresolved issues for future programming.
- Coordination efforts of the Agriculture (and later Food Security) Cluster, laying the foundation for rapidly and effectively reaching people, based on the most urgent and relevant needs.
Impact:
- The crop inputs provided under the project increased beneficiaries’ access to rice and vegetables for household consumption and sale of surplus – the total value of yields was estimated at USD 425 per household.
- The livestock input provided under the project kept livestock alive and productive and resulted in 90 percent of beneficiaries reporting a 50 percent increase in milk yield.
