Principes

Le travail de la FAO en situations d’urgence est motivé par l’engagement suivant :

La vision

« Nous aspirons à un monde libéré de la faim et de la malnutrition òu l'alimentation et l'agriculture contribue à améliorer les conditions de vie de chacun, et particulièrement des plus pauvres dans une optique économiquement, socialement et écologiquement durable ».

La mission

« Nous assistons pays et partenaires afin d'améliorer la préparation et la réponse aux menaces et situations d'urgences alimentaires et agricoles ».

Les gens que nous servons

« Nous aidons des agriculteurs, des pêcheurs, des forestiers, des éleveurs et leurs familles à se remettre des crises ».
