Most affected Village Development Committees (VDCs) in the six affected districts (Dhading, Dolakha, Gorkha, Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Sindhupolchok) after the 2015 Nepal earthquakes. These districts are situated in hilly and mountain areas. They are not major cereal producers but still contribute significantly to the national production for maize and particularly for millet. Per capita production of potato, milk and meat is above the national average, indicating the importance of these commodities in household livelihood portfolios.

Agricultural losses caused by the earthquake will have an impact on national production for certain commodities as on livelihoods at household level. Click on the Village Development Committees to learn more and check the Agricultural Livelihood Imapct Aappraisal for more details.
