FAO supports pastoralist communities in northern Senegal

In order to protect and improve the livelihoods of vulnerable pastoralists affected by the fodder deficit in Senegal, FAO and partners reached a total of 14 400 beneficiaries through the distribution of 1 540 tonnes of livestock feed. Of these, 1 152 pastoralists were supported with 268 tonnes of feed in the department of Louga. Beneficiaries were also provided with training on sustainable pasture management.
