Six months after the major floods in Myanmar

Nearly six months after the major floods that swept through large parts of rural Myanmar, many vulnerable farmers are still struggling to rebuild their agricultural livelihoods. Sagaing region, in central Myanmar, was the worst hit by the disaster, with more than 96 600 livestock lost and the destruction of paddy rice fields, seeds, tools and other valuable agricultural assets. These farmers from Pauk Khoan village describe the many obstacles they still face in resuming agricultural production.
