The effects of drought continue to deepen across Somalia, where half the population – 6.2 million people – now face acute food insecurity. The IDP's in Uusgure village are pastorals who moved there after they lost their livelihood due to the current drought. They lost almost all their livestock, camels and goats, on which they depend on to survive.
