- What prompted you to apply for FAO?
I wanted to be part of a significant and crucial mission while working in an international and multicultural environment.
- What are you most proud of in your work?
After 20 years working in FAO, colleagues across many Divisions know they can rely on my experience and on my capacity to work effectively with the people within my team and across the Organization.I am also proud that every time I have challenged myself with new projects (Summits in HQs and in the Field, Culture Change, Fasting for Food project, etc.) I have achieved good results and provided a positive contribution both in my personal and professional capacity.
- What does a normal day at work look like for you?
My work entails a lot of pressure, attention and at the same time capacity to keep an overview of all the details that a meeting requires. During my daily work, I am often involved in front desk urgent matters related to meetings but I am also responsible for the overall planning and managing of meetings together with helping in the preparation of documents, studies and reports.
- What advice would you give someone wishing to join FAO?
Be prepared to challenging times, stay focused on the mission of the Organization, keep learning and don’t forget that FAO is made of people and it’s the way we work together that ensures our best results.
