FAO in action

Welcome to FAO in action

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations not only covers the globe, but its programmes and projects cover the breadth and depth of the agriculture, forestry, fisheries and food sectors. The following examples show the impact of a cross-section of those programmes on ordinary people -- farmers, fisher folk, forest dwellers, consumers and the civil servants who provide services to them all. All the stories include related facts and figures.
