FAO's Biotechnology site now has a comprehensive selection of links on biotechnology. These include Ag BioTech InfoNet, which has further links to sites both supportive and critical of new biotechnologies.

Codex Alimentarius Commission

The Codex Alimentarius Commission was created in 1963 by FAO and WHO to develop food standards and food safety guidelines to protect the health of consumers, to ensure fair trade practices in the food trade and to promote coordination of all food standards work undertaken by international governmental and non-governmental organizations. It has recently reported on foods derived from modern biotechnology, and documentation can be downloaded from the site.
