The International Law Course at LUMSA University run by Professor Monica Lugato, includes an applied module of 30 hours on the relations between right to food and food security and the right to social protection, health and education in poverty eradication, with a particular focus on rural people life. This module is run by Dr. Lavinia Gasperini, assisted by Chiara Gnetti.
The LUMSA University and FAO cooperate within the Education for Rural People Partnership (ERP). FAO is leading the Partnership and LUMSA is a long-standing active ERP partner.
Experts from different areas of FAO contribute to the course with their technical support.
The final evaluation considers individual preparation and the quality of group works related to the subjects in the program.

Students should be familiar with the main cases presented in the textbook.
Students unable to attend the course should:
a) study the book D. HAMMARSKJOLD: D. 2006 Tracce di cammino Qiqajon edition;
b) identify - through a personal research - the relation between the content of such book, the life of the author and the themes of the monographic part.
