At the eve of the Conference on OPAM thirty years, an important step forward has been accomplished by our association. We have been invited to participate, together with other Italian NGOs, in a meeting on the presentation of projects implemented or under implementation, in the field of education for rural populations. What was new was not the theme of the meeting but the fact that it was prepared, coordinated and held in Rome by FAO, the UN Agency for Food and Agriculture (April 19, 2002).
