Upon the request to celebrate the International day of Biological Diversity by the United Nations Organisation, several stakeholders and the Secretariat of Biological Diversity (CBD), the Secretariat of FEEDAR and HR, an ERP partner, organized a conference with the aim to enhance awareness and sensitize people on this issue as well as the Millennium Development Goals and sustainable lifestyles among communities.

The following four presentations introducing the main opportunities and challenges within these communities were made:
- Targeting Food Security and hunger;
- Waste Management;
- Poverty and Climate Change;
- Effects which continue to hit hard on communities and their families.
