National Conference on 'Call of Time: United Natures'

The current global situation calls for harmony with nature more than any other time in the history of the world. It is a time for action to protect the environment both for the current and future generations.

The Department of Environment, NCR Delhi, along with Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya (www.bkwsu.org) is organizing a two-day conference to discuss on how to bring about harmony between the environment and human nature in all its interactions and activities. The conference is supported by, Union Ministries of Agriculture, Earth sciences Environment & Forest, Renewable energy, Rural Development and Science and Technology, Government of India.

The conference will feature amongst others sessions on “New Paradigm on Empowering Rural India” and “Shashwat Yogic Farming”.  Shashwat Yogic Farming is organic farming technique that incorporates Rajyoga meditation as one of the key inputs in farming and has been able to achieve a significant benefit both in terms of quantity and quality of agricultural output as well as improving the quality of life of the farming community. This technique is currently being studied and documented at S.D. Agricultural University, Gujarat, India. The preliminary results from a two and a half year study will be discussed.
