measures for environmental services in developing countries

Background
Prior to his secondment to the FAO in 2004, Mr. Sakuyama has
had sixteen years working experience in the Japanese Government.
Since he joined Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry
and Fisheries in 1988, he served various posts in the Ministry
with extensive international experience. Mr. Sakuyama worked
with the OECD for five years as a member of the national delegation
and as agricultural attaché for the Permanent Delegation
of Japan to the OECD in Paris. He also participated in the WTO
Doha-Round trade negotiations on agriculture as a core member
of the Ministry's negotiating team for two years.
