Support to food security and nutrition development (Phase II)

The overall development objective of the project is a substantially reduced number of food insecure and malnourished people in Namibia. This is to be achieved through a strengthened cross-sectoral institutional framework through which the underlying causes and multi-disciplinary dimensions of poverty, food insecurity and malnutrition are to be identified and addressed through the implementation of well-targeted action by Government and other development partners.

A food insecurity and vulnerability information and mapping system will provide data and information, required for effective decision making towards the formulation of appropriate food security policies, development programmes and emergency interventions.
