The project is a collaborative effort between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the International Potato Centre in Ecuador, the Fundación PROINPA in Bolivia, the American University in Washington DC and the University of Wageningen in the Netherlands.

FAO Ecuador

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations is a specialized agency of the United Nations that leads international efforts to defeat hunger.
Serving both developed and developing countries, FAO acts as a neutral forum where all nations meet as equals to negotiate agreements and debate policy.
The International Potato Center
The International Potato Center, part of the CGIAR family, seeks to reduce poverty and achieve food security on a sustained basis in developing countries through scientific research and related activities on potato, sweetpotato, other root and tuber crops, and on the improved management of natural resources in the Andes and other mountain areas.
PROINPA
PROINPA Fundación is a science and technology organization in Bolivia which contributes to promoting the conservation of the genetic patrimony of Bolivian potatoes, sweet potatoes and other tubers, and to the generation of technologies within a set of sustainable farming systems. PROINPA works with inter-Andean and mesotérmicos valleys' farmers and contributes to food security, conservation of natural resources, competitiveness of the farming sector and to the reduction of the rural and urban poverty.
