• All papers should be written in Microsoft Word on A4 paper (210 x 297mm)

• Full name(s) as they are to appear on the paper

Language

• English is preferred, but submissions will be accepted in all official UN languages (English, French, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese)

Abstract

• Abstracts should not exceed 100 words

Keywords

• Five to seven keywords separated by semicolons

JEL Codes

• List three to five JEL classifications (see http://www.aeaweb.org/journal/jel_class_system.html for list of codes)

Acknowledgements (if any)

Text length

• Papers should not exceed 8,000 words, including references

Margins

• Top, bottom, left, right all 2.5 cm

Text font

• Times New Roman size 12

Spacing

• One and a half line spacing
• One line between paragraphs
• No indenting

Page numbering

• Bottom, centred
• Begin numbering on the first page of the body of the text
• Suppress page one
• No headers or footers aside from the numbering

Sub-headings

• First order headings - Arial 12, bold, left aligned
• Second-order headings - Arial 12, italics, left aligned
• Leave a one line space before and after each level of subheadings
• Do not number subheadings
• Do not use more than two levels of headings

Footnotes

• Footnotes rather than end notes

References

• References should be complied according to the FAO Bibliography Style Guidelines (see http://www.fao.org/docrep/004/AC339e/AC339E00.htm for guidance on this and other questions of style)

Tables and figures

• Place tables and figures at the end of the paper after the references
• All tables and figures should have a caption
• Caption font is Arial size 10, bold, centred
• Table captions are to be centered above the table
• Figure captions are to be centered below the figure
• Tables and figures must be numbered in separate series
• Indicate placement in text (example: "Table 1. Text here", "Figure 1. Text here")
