The overall objective is to increase the food security status of the population of Angola at national, regional, household and individual levels. In particular, the project will focus on addressing the food insecurity problems of most vulnerable households.
This will be achieved through the provision of information for more effective targeting of short-term interventions, and through a more in-depth analysis of problems of chronic food insecurity to be addressed through medium to longer-term programmes and policy interventions.
Food security and crisis
The project aims to support the development of policy frameworks to address longer-term programming challenges in different emergency contexts through the provision of timely and accurate information, both technical and for advocacy purposes. ESA has therefore developed a new international portal on food security to provide access to information and online networks to field practitioners and food security and policy analysts.
