Monthly News Report on Grains
The main purpose of the MNR is to establish a communication vehicle for closer dialogue between the FAO Secretariat and the Members of the Intergovernmental Group (IGG) on Grains as well as the general public. Each MNR includes a selected number of articles from the international media and news sources on issues or factors which are considered critical in shaping the regional/global grains economy. The MNRs also include statistical briefs and other information about meetings/events as well as relevant new publications and/or websites.
The MNRs are prepared by the FAO Grains Team: Abdolreza Abbassian, the Team leader and the Secretary of the IGG on Grains, Claudio Cerquiglini and John Heine, research assistants, and Silvia Ripani, the Group's secretary.
