Monthly News Report on Grains
The main purpose of the MNR is to establish a communication vehicle for closer dialogue between the FAO Secretariat and the Members of the Intergovernmental Group (IGG) on Grains as well as the general public. The MNRs are dispatched electronically on the last working day of the month. For subscription (free) please send an email to: FAO-IGG-Grains@fao.org
Each MNR includes a selected number of articles from the international media and news sources on issues or factors which are considered critical in shaping the regional/global grains economy. The MNRs also include statistical briefs and other information about meetings/events as well as relevant new publications and/or websites.
The MNRs are prepared by the FAO Grains Team: Abdolreza Abbassian, the Team leader and the Secretary of the IGG on Grains, Claudio Cerquiglini and John Heine, research assistants, and Silvia Ripani, the Group's secretary.
