Cassava (Manihot esculenta
Crantz) is a root crop commonly divided into two groups, bitter and sweet
cassava, sometimes considered as two different species with the botanical names
of Manihot utilissima and Manihot dulcis (the latter also known
as aipi). Here, bitter and sweet cassava are reported together.
